The Best Part of Chrome And I Didn’t Even Know It

One of Google Chrome’s simplifying touches was to remove the “search” field and integrate it with the address field. If you type a URL, it takes you to the site. If you type anything else, it will take you to search results (Google’s by default but it’s configurable in case you like Bing or something). It also will autocomplete from Google’s suggestions, your history, and your bookmarks.

I didn’t realize how much I use this until I was using my wife’s computer the other day and I typed a search phrase into the address bar and the browser tried to take me to “http://www.apple%20macbook%20pro.com/” Damn it Firefox, read my mind! Guess what browser I’ll be installing on that machine…
