About that “independent” study…

MacWorld recently, in Are Macs really cheaper to manage than PCs?:

Macs in the enterprise aren’t just cheaper to manage—they’re a lot cheaper, according to a new survey released today by the Enterprise Desktop Alliance.

I think Macs are less expensive to manage, but unfortunately the source is biased: Enterprise Desktop Alliance is an organization that sells products and services (“solutions”) to integrate Macs in the workplace. No matter how pure their intentions were, I don’t think you can exactly trust that they are an unbiased third party.

I really do think that Mac is a smart choice for any business. However, in making our argument, we can’t use sources that clearly have a profit motive in the results of the study.
